# Get Cities by States

`GET /internal/api/clients/state/cities`

## Request

Retrieve all cities for a specific state using the state's two-letter code with pagination, sorting, and search capabilities.

## Query parameters

- `state_code` string, required: 2 letter state code
- `page` integer: Page number (1-based)
- `page_size` integer: Number of items per page (max 2000)
- `sort_by` string, nullable: Field to sort by (name only)
- `sort_order` 'asc' | 'desc': Sort order enumeration
- `search_query` string, nullable: Search term

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- CitiesResponse: Cities available for a given state code with pagination support.
  - `state_code` string, required: Two-letter state code
  - `state_name` string, required: Full name of the state
  - `cities` CityListItem[], required: List of cities in the state
    - `name` string, required: Name of the city
  - `count` integer, required: Total number of cities in the state
  - `meta` AppSchemasCommonPaginationPaginationMeta
    - `page` integer, required: Current page number
    - `page_size` integer, required: Number of items per page
    - `total_count` integer, required: Total number of items
    - `total_pages` integer, required: Total number of pages
    - `total` integer, required: Alias for total_count for backward compatibility
