# Update Client Addresses

`PUT /internal/api/clients/{client_identifier}/addresses`

Set or update primary and mailing addresses for a client.

## Path parameters

- `client_identifier` string, required

## Request body

- ClientAddressesUpdate
  - `primary_address` AddressCreate, required
    - `street_address` string, nullable: The primary street address including house number and street name
    - `address_line_2` string, nullable: Additional address information such as apartment, suite, or unit number
    - `city` string, nullable: The city name
    - `state` string, nullable: The state abbreviation or full state name
    - `zip_code` string, nullable: The postal/ZIP code
  - `mailing_address` AddressCreate
    - `street_address` string, nullable: The primary street address including house number and street name
    - `address_line_2` string, nullable: Additional address information such as apartment, suite, or unit number
    - `city` string, nullable: The city name
    - `state` string, nullable: The state abbreviation or full state name
    - `zip_code` string, nullable: The postal/ZIP code
  - `same_mailing_address` boolean: Set to true to use primary address as mailing address
