# Reset user password

`POST /internal/api/auth/reset-password`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.signalshq.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

Reset the user's password using a temporary token.

    The system will:
    1. Validate the temporary token
    2. Update the user's password
    3. Invalidate the token

## Request body

- ResetPasswordRequest
  - `email` string, email, required
  - `token` string, required: Temporary token received from OTP verification
  - `new_password` string, required: New password with minimum 8 characters

## Response `200`

Password has been reset successfully

- ResetPasswordResponse
  - `message` string

## Other responses

- `422`: Validation Error
