# Delete Question Instance (Public)

Delete a questionnaire instance and its entire subtree -- nested child instances and every bound response -- using an intake token. Addressed by instance UUID: instance numbers are sparse (delete leaves gaps), reused (the backend assigns max+1 over survivors), and cannot identify a nested instance at all. Every instance is deletable, including the first and the last; a group with zero instances is a valid state.
