# Download a shared document by document ID

`GET /api/public/dms/download/{document_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.signalshq.io` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://api.signalshq.io/api/public/dms/download/{document_id}`
- Auth: none declared. Required headers: `X-Intake-Token`

Generates a short-lived presigned S3 URL for any document the client has access to — either via a direct document share or because the document lives inside a shared folder. No share_id required. Pair this with GET /dms/contents for a consistent browsing + download flow.

- `X-Intake-Token` string, required: Secure intake token for document upload request

- SharedDocumentDownloadResponse: Response for the shared document download URL endpoint.
