# Get current insider positions by CIK

`GET /insider-positions/{cik}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.signal8.ai/api/v1/public`
- URL: `https://api.signal8.ai/api/v1/public/insider-positions/{cik}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Current open insider positions for a CIK. The CIK is tried as an issuer
(company) first — returning every insider's position for that company —
and falls back to an insider (reporting-person) CIK, returning that
person's open positions across all issuers they have filed Form 4 for.
The `lookupMode` field tells you which interpretation matched. Positions
are derived from the most recent Form 4 `shares_owned_following` value.
