# Get stock quote

`GET /companies/{ticker}/quote`

## Request

- Auth: API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Get real-time stock quote for a company.

Every quote is decorated with trading-halt metadata (feature-2260):
`halted` (boolean), `haltCode` (string|null), `haltReason` (string|null),
`haltedAt` (ISO 8601 UTC|null), `resumptionAt` (ISO 8601 UTC|null).

An actively-halted ticker returns **200** — not 404. If a last-known
quote is recoverable it is returned with `halted: true` (plus
`quoteAsOf`, the ISO stamp of when that price was last true); if nothing
is recoverable, every price field is explicitly `null` and consumers
discriminate with `halted === true && currentPrice === null`.
