# Preserve or unpreserve a variable

`GET /api/clusters/{clusterName}/settings/actions/preserve-variable/{variableName}/{preserve}`

Preserves or unpreserves a variable for the specified cluster.

- `clusterName` string, required
- `variableName` string, required
- `preserve` 'true' | 'false', required

Variable preserved successfully
