# Handles the failover process for a given cluster.

`POST /api/clusters/{clusterName}/actions/failover`

This endpoint triggers a master failover for the specified cluster.

- `403`: No valid ACL
- `409`: Master is still up; use switchover for a planned role change
- `500`: No cluster
