# Generate Recommendations

`POST /api/v1/brands/{brand_id}/recommendations/generate`

## Request

Generate AI-powered recommendations for a brand.

This endpoint starts an asynchronous task to:
1. Analyze the brand's website content
2. Use Claude AI to generate actionable recommendations
3. Store recommendations in the database

Returns immediately with a task ID.

## Path parameters

- `brand_id` string, uuid, required

## Cookies

- `access_token` string, nullable

## Request body

- RecommendationGenerateRequest: Request to generate recommendations for a brand.
  - `analysis_period_days` integer: Number of days to analyze (7-90)

## Response `202`

Successful Response

- GenerationTaskResponse: Response for async recommendation generation task.
  - `status` string, required: generating, complete, failed
  - `task_id` string, required
  - `estimated_time_seconds` integer
  - `message` string, nullable
