# Test Alert

`POST /api/v1/alerts/{alert_id}/test`

Test an alert rule (dry run) to see if it would trigger.

  - `conditions` object, required: Conditions to test
  - `channels` object[], required: Channels to simulate

## Response `200`

Successful Response

- AlertTestResponse: Schema for alert test response.
  - `would_trigger` boolean, required: Whether alert would trigger
  - `trigger_reason` string, nullable: Why alert would/wouldn't trigger
  - `matched_data` object, nullable: Data that matched conditions
  - `channel_validation` object[], required: Channel validation results
