# Get Public App By Package

`GET /v2/apps/by-package/{package_name}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sidequestvr.com`

Gets the listing ID, name and icon for a publicly available app. No login required. Results and misses are cached by the service for one hour. HTTP clients may cache responses for another hour, so metadata and visibility changes may take up to two hours to appear.

## Response `200`

Success

- PublicAppPackageModel: Public app details for a library shortcut
  - `apps_id` integer, required: The SideQuest listing ID
  - `name` object, required: The app name
  - `image_url` object, required: The app icon URL

## Other responses

- `400`: The data provided to the call was incorrect or incomplete.
- `404`: No resource was found at the target path or the authorization token provided does not have access to know that it exists.
