# Add partial slab

`POST /bus/slabs/partial`

Adds data to a partial slab.

## Query parameters

- `minshards` integer, required — The number of data shards a piece of an object gets erasure-coded into
- `totalshards` integer, required — The number of total data shards a piece of an object gets erasure-coded into

## Response `200`

Successfully added partial slab

- object
  - `slabs` SlabSlice[]
    - `slab` Slab — A slab of data to migrate
      - `health` number, float
      - `encryptionKey` string — The encryption key used to encrypt the slab's shards
      - `minShards` integer — The number of data shards the slab is split into
    - `offset` integer
    - `limit` integer
  - `slabBufferMaxSizeSoftReached` boolean — Whether the slab buffer soft limit was reached
