# Create a multipart upload

`POST /bus/multipart/create`

Creates a new multipart upload and returns an upload ID.

## Request body

- object
  - `bucket` string — The name of the bucket.
  - `key` string — The key of the object to upload
  - `mimeType` string — The MIME type of the object
  - `metadata` ObjectUserMetadata — User-defined metadata about an object provided through X-Sia-Meta- headers
  - `disableClientSideEncryption` boolean — Whether to disable client-side encryption

## Response `200`

Successfully created multipart upload

- object
  - `uploadID` string, byte — The ID of the multipart upload
