# Steer Spreadsheet Job

`POST /api/spreadsheets/{runId}/steer`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.shortcut.ai` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP bearer

Send an instruction to a running spreadsheet job. The agent reads it at its next model turn, after the tool calls it is waiting on, and adjusts the work it is doing. Acceptance means the message was queued, not that the change was made; the job can still finish first. Only running jobs can be steered.

  - `message` string, required: Instruction for the running agent, delivered at its next model turn
  - `requestId` string, required: Caller-chosen id; repeating it does not deliver the message twice
