# Get the signed-in user's notification preferences.

`GET /users/me/notification_preferences`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.shorebird.dev/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.shorebird.dev/api/v1/users/me/notification_preferences`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP bearer

Service accounts are refused with a `403`
(`service_account_forbidden`).

## Response `200`

The user's notification preferences.

- GetNotificationPreferencesResponse: The response body for GET /users/me/notification_preferences.
  - `preferences` NotificationPreferences, required: How the user wants to be notified.
    - `are_email_notifications_enabled` boolean, required: Whether the user receives email notifications. `true` for a user who has never set it.

## Other responses

- `424`: The preferences could not be read (`user_get_notification_preferences_error`).
- `default`: Standard error response. Emitted for any non-2xx status where a body can be decoded into an [ErrorResponse].
