# Get the currently logged-in user.

`GET /users/me`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.shorebird.dev/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.shorebird.dev/api/v1/users/me`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP bearer

## Response `200`

The currently logged-in user.

- PrivateUser: A fully-detailed user object, possibly including sensitive information. Should only be used when querying the user's own information.
  - `id` integer, required: The unique user identifier.
  - `email` string, email, required: The user's email address, as provided by the user during signup.
  - `display_name` string: The user's name, as provided by the user during signup.
  - `has_active_subscription` boolean: Whether the user is currently a paying customer. Still sent so older CLIs that read it keep working; new clients should not use it.
  - `stripe_customer_id` string: The user's Stripe customer ID, if they have one.
  - `jwt_issuer` string, required: The issuer of the user's most recently used sign-in identity, or empty when the user has none.
  - `patch_overage_limit` integer: The maximum number of patch installs the user has agreed to pay for as part of a pay-as-you-go plan.

## Other responses

- `404`: No user is currently logged in.
- `default`: Standard error response. Emitted for any non-2xx status where a body can be decoded into an [ErrorResponse].
