# Revoke a pending invitation to an organization.

`DELETE /organizations/{organizationId}/invitations/{invitationId}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.shorebird.dev/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.shorebird.dev/api/v1/organizations/{organizationId}/invitations/{invitationId}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP bearer

Requires the `invitations.revoke` permission, which the `admin` and
`owner` roles hold.

## Response `204`

The invitation was revoked.

## Other responses

- `400`: The organization id is not an integer (`organization_id_malformed`).
- `403`: The caller lacks the `invitations.revoke` permission.
- `404`: No such organization or the caller is not a member of it (`organization_membership_guard_error`), or no such invitation to this organization (`organization_invitation_not_found`). An invitation id that is not a UUID is also a `404`.
- `409`: The invitation was already accepted, declined, revoked, or has expired (`organization_invitation_revoke_error`).
- `424`: Reading the invitation failed (`organization_invitation_error`), or revoking it failed (`organization_invitation_revoke_error`).
- `default`: Standard error response. Emitted for any non-2xx status where a body can be decoded into an [ErrorResponse].
