# Create a new app.

`POST /apps`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.shorebird.dev/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.shorebird.dev/api/v1/apps`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP bearer

## Request body

- CreateAppRequest: The request body for POST /apps.
  - `display_name` string, required: The display name of the app.
  - `organization_id` integer, required: The id of organization that this app will belong to.

## Response `200`

The newly-created app.

- App: The application downloaded and run on various devices/platforms.
  - `id` string, required: The ID of the app.
  - `display_name` string, required: The display name of the app.

## Other responses

- `default`: Standard error response. Emitted for any non-2xx status where a body can be decoded into an [ErrorResponse].
