# List financial institutions

`GET /fins`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://sandbox-gateway.shinkansen.finance/api`
- URL: `https://sandbox-gateway.shinkansen.finance/api/fins`
- Auth: API key in header `Shinkansen-Api-Key`

Returns the financial institutions currently loaded in the Gateway cache. Use this endpoint to resolve valid `fin_id` and `cmf_id` values when building transfer messages. The internal Shinkansen participant (`SHINKANSEN`) is excluded from the response. Results are sorted by `cmf_id`.

## Response `200`

List of financial institutions available in the Gateway.

- FinListItem[]
  - `fin_id` string, required: Shinkansen identifier for the financial institution. Use this value in message headers and in `debtor.financial_institution` / `creditor.financial_institution` fields when sending transfers.
  - `cmf_id` string, required: CMF identifier for the financial institution in Chile. Leading zeros are omitted when the stored value is four digits (e.g. `"0037"` is returned as `"037"`).
  - `name` string, required: Display name of the financial institution.

## Other responses

- `401`: Message received but rejected by Shinkansen Gateway due to an unauthorized access to the API Key or the JWS Signature
