# Returns the transaction status

`GET /transactions/{shinkansen_id}/status`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.shinkansen.finance/v1`
- URL: `https://api.shinkansen.finance/v1/transactions/{shinkansen_id}/status`
- Auth: API key in header `Shinkansen-Api-Key`

Can be used when the participant is unsure whether a transaction response was sent to their webhook or is still pending. The transaction status is either `ok`, `error`, or `pending`.

## Response `200`

The status of a transaction.

- TransactionStatus: Contains the status of a transaction
  - `shinkansen_transaction_status` 'pending' | 'ok' | 'error', required: The status of the transaction. Can be one of `pending`, `ok`, or `error`

## Other responses

- `403`: Forbidden (e.g: wrong API Key)
- `404`: Transaction id not found (or info not available for the owner of the API Key)
