# Re-point production at an older version (deprecated)

`POST /v1/artifacts/{id}/rollback`

## Request

> **Deprecated.**

Deprecated: use `POST /v1/artifacts/{id}/versions/{no}/restore`, which creates a new version with the old files and keeps the history. This endpoint only moves the production pointer and creates no version. Responses carry a `Deprecation` header. Editor or owner.

## Request body

  - `version_id` string

## Response `200`

Production now serves that version

- object
  - `success` boolean
  - `deployed_version` integer
  - `version_id` string

## Other responses

- `403`: Access denied
- `404`: Resource not found
- `409`: No production deployment to roll back
