# Dismiss an input

`POST /v1/orchestrator/inputs/{id}/dismiss`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.shardflux.dev`
- URL: `https://api.shardflux.dev/v1/orchestrator/inputs/{id}/dismiss`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

It leaves the Orchestrator view on every device; what it created stays on the board.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required

## Request body

- object
  - `organization_id` string, uuid: UUIDv7, lowercase canonical form.

## Response `200`

Default Response

- object
  - `input` OrchestratorInput, required
    - `id` string, required
    - `text` string, required: The person’s exact words.
    - `selection` object, nullable, required: The row the person points at while they type or talk: the orchestrator reads it as structured context.
      - `task_id` string
      - `report_id` string
      - `needs_you_id` string
      - `input_id` string
      - `conversation_id` string
    - `state` 'queued' | 'working' | 'waiting' | 'done' | 'merged' | 'failed', required
    - `queue_position` integer, nullable, required: queued: its place in line (1 starts next).
    - `waiting` object, nullable, required: Why it waits, one plain line: the person’s computer is offline (“Waiting for your computer: list ~/code”), a question to the person, its thread waiting to start (“Getting its computer ready”), or an issue awaiting its coordinating agent.
      - `for` 'computer' | 'you' | 'start' | 'coordinator', required
      - `message` string, required
      - `reason` string: The platform wait reason, for example usage_limit. Set when the input waits for admission.
      - `until` string, date-time: Known automatic reset time, for example a provider usage reset. Omitted when no reset time is known.
    - `answer` OrchestratorAnswer, required: A curated answer: a headline (the verdict), its facts or, when the agent wrote them, points it grouped (each a lead and a line of detail, optionally when it happened), the media it shows (images, videos and files on the project drive, the most telling first), where they come from, and follow-ups. Stored as the agent wrote it, at any length: clients wrap and fold long content. Replaced in place when the thread learns more.
      - `headline` string, required
      - `facts` string[], required
      - `points` object[]: The answer as points the agent grouped (consecutive points with the same group form one group), each a lead and a line of detail, or only words when the agent wrote no lead. Absent on answers written as plain facts; facts is always set (derived from the points for older clients).
        - `group` string: The heading the agent put it under (“What moved”, “Still open”); absent before any heading.
        - `lead` string: The point in a few words, shown first and bold: “Loss is down to 1.84”. Absent when the agent wrote the point without one: then `detail` holds its words.
        - `detail` string: The line backing the lead (“from 2.31 at step 5,000”), or the whole point when it has no lead.
        - `at` string: When it happened: an ISO 8601 date-time; without an offset it is the person’s local time.
      - `media` object[]: What the answer shows (a training curve, a screenshot, a generated video), the most telling first: each a file on the orchestrator’s project drive, read through the drive API. Absent when the answer has none.
        - `kind` 'image' | 'video' | 'file', required
        - `name` string, required: What it is called: the agent’s label (“Loss curve”), else the file’s name.
        - `content_type` string, required
        - `size` integer, required: Bytes.
        - `width` integer: An image’s width in pixels as shown (PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP), set a moment after the answer once measured; absent when unknown.
        - `height` integer: An image’s height in pixels as shown, with width.
        - `project_id` string, uuid, required: UUIDv7, lowercase canonical form.
        - `file` object, required
          - `path` string, required
          - `sha256` string, required
          - `size` integer, required
          - `content_type` string, nullable, required
      - `sources` object[], required
        - `kind` 'laptop' | 'drive' | 'task' | 'report' | 'url' | 'conversation', required
        - `label` string, required: The chip: “train.log”, “tests 48/48”, “Pricing copy”.
        - `ref` string, required: laptop: a path on the person’s computer; drive: a path on the project drive; task/report/conversation: its id; url: the URL.
        - `project_id` string, uuid, nullable: UUIDv7, lowercase canonical form.
        - `file` object
          - `path` string, required
          - `sha256` string, required
          - `size` integer, required
          - `content_type` string, nullable, required
      - `actions` object[], required
        - `label` string, required: Tapping it sends these words as a new input pointing at this one.
      - `updated_at` string, date-time, required: RFC 3339 UTC timestamp with Z.
    - `redelivery_count` integer: Number of committed automatic fresh-thread redeliveries.
    - `resent_at` string, date-time, nullable: RFC 3339 UTC timestamp with Z.
    - `result_reports` object[]: Canonical task reports linked by this input instead of copied answer cards. Read each report once from the board.
      - `task_id` string, required
      - `report_id` string, required
      - `project_id` string, uuid, required: UUIDv7, lowercase canonical form.
    - `task_ids` string[], required: Board tasks it created or steered.
    - `question_ids` string[], required: Its questions to the person (needs-you items oq_…).
    - `merged_into` string, nullable, required
    - `error` object, nullable, required
      - `message` string, required
      - `retryable` boolean, required
    - `turn_conversation_id` string, nullable, required
    - `created_at` string, date-time, required: RFC 3339 UTC timestamp with Z.
    - `updated_at` string, date-time, required: RFC 3339 UTC timestamp with Z.
    - `dismissed_at` string, date-time, nullable, required: RFC 3339 UTC timestamp with Z.
