# Revoke image

`POST /preview/v2/images/{id}/revoke`

## Request

Revoke a private image. Revoked images can't back new instances; existing instances continue running.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required: A resource path like 'sfc:image:acme:prod:my-image' _or_ an ID. Resource paths are human-readable but not stable - they change when resources are renamed or moved. IDs are stable and permanent.

  - `upload_status` 'started' | 'uploading' | 'completed' | 'failed' | 'revoked', required
  - `created_at` integer, required: Unix timestamp.
  - `provider` string, nullable
  - `sha256` string, nullable

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized request
- `403`: Public images can't be revoked
- `404`: Image not found
- `409`: Image isn't in completed status
- `500`: Internal server error
