# Archive a long-term memory

`DELETE /api/memory/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.setluca.com`
- URL: `https://api.setluca.com/api/memory/{id}`
- Auth: API key in cookie `luca.session_token`

Archives the memory instead of erasing it, so Luca stops using the fact while the record and its provenance survive. Reverse it with a `restore` patch. A typed fact answers 409 `memory_fact_locked`: confirm or reject it instead.

**Session-only.** This endpoint isn't on the API-key allowlist. An organization API key gets a 403 here, whatever scopes it holds.
