# Read the coach's canonical niche (benchmark cohort key)

`GET /api/coaches/niche`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.setluca.com`
- URL: `https://api.setluca.com/api/coaches/niche`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in cookie `luca.session_token`
  - API key in header `x-api-key`
  - HTTP bearer

The fixed-taxonomy cohort key that decides which coaches this one is benchmarked against. It's not the free-text `niche` on the niche and offer profile, which describes the business instead of naming a cohort.

**API key scopes:** `coach:read`.
