# Add asset meters

`POST /assets/AssetMeter`

## Request

Attaches an asset meter to a certain asset by specifying a particular asset type meter.

## Request body

- ServiceChannelServicesMessagingAssetsAddAssetMeterRequest
  - `AssetId` integer, required
  - `AssetTypeMeterId` integer, required

## Response `200`

The asset meter is successfully added.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request is not accepted due to bad syntax, missing parameters, insufficient data, etc. <br/>Error codes: Failed to add an asset meter
- `401`: The request is not authorized. <br/>Error codes: 504 — API call rejected by security permissions
