# Delete generated outline for a guide

`DELETE /api/v1/outline`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.serpmantics.com` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://app.serpmantics.com/api/v1/outline`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Removes previously generated outline data for the given guide.

## Query parameters

- `guideId` string, required

## Response `200`

Outline successfully deleted

## Other responses

- `400`: Missing guideId
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Forbidden - User does not own the guide
- `404`: Guide not found or nothing to delete
- `410`: Guide expired. Guides are locked 180 days after their creation, because the Google results they are built on are no longer representative. The body is `{ success: false, error: "Guide expired", expiresAt: "<ISO 8601 expiry date>" }`. The guide itself can still be deleted with DELETE /api/v1/guide.
