# Delete subscriber by external ID path

`DELETE /subscribers/external/{externalId}`

Compatibility route for external IDs that do not contain path separators. Use `/subscribers/external?externalId=...` for IDs containing slashes.

- `externalId` string, required

## Response `200`

Subscriber deleted

## Other responses

- `404` — Subscriber not found
- `503` — The database was temporarily unavailable. The request may be retried after the delay in Retry-After.
