# Set frequency cap

`PUT /frequency-cap`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sequenzy.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://api.sequenzy.com/api/v1/frequency-cap`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Sets or replaces the company frequency cap. It applies from the next email step onward in sequences with frequencyCapEnabled. Requires the companies:manage scope plus owner or admin access.

## Request body

- FrequencyCap: At most maxEmails marketing emails (campaigns plus marketing sequence emails) per contact in any rolling windowHours.
  - `maxEmails` integer, required: Most marketing emails one contact may receive in the window.
  - `windowHours` integer, required: Rolling window in hours.

## Other responses

- `400`: maxEmails or windowHours is missing, not an integer, or out of range
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Missing the companies:manage scope, or view-only access
- `404`: Company not found
