# Delete campaign

`DELETE /campaigns/{campaignId}`

Permanently deletes a campaign. Active campaigns (sending, scheduled, or paused) must be cancelled first.

- `campaignId` string, required

- `400` — Campaign is active and must be cancelled first
- `401` — Unauthorized
- `404` — Campaign not found
- `503` — The database was temporarily unavailable. The request may be retried after the delay in Retry-After.
