# Remove account member

`DELETE /accounts/{externalId}/members`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Removes a contact from the account. The contact is kept; its `account.*` attributes are cleared or replaced by another account it belongs to.

  - `account` Account: A B2B account (organization, workspace or team) that contacts belong to.

    - `attributes` object: Account attributes, fanned out to members as `account.<name>`.
    - `memberCount` integer
    - `lastEventAt` string, date-time, nullable
    - `createdAt` string, date-time
    - `updatedAt` string, date-time
