# Api Forget Host

`DELETE /dashboard/api/hosts/{host_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://mcp.sentinelx.app` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://mcp.sentinelx.app/dashboard/api/hosts/{host_id}`
- Auth: none declared

Permanently remove a host from the dashboard.

- Closes the active session if connected (agent will reconnect — this is a
soft revoke, not a hard one)
- Deletes the persisted metadata (host_meta in Redis)
- Deletes the label if any (host_label in Redis)

The host will reappear if the agent reconnects with a still-valid
identity_token. To prevent that, the user needs to uninstall the agent
on the host (which deletes /etc/sentinelx/identity.json).

This is documented in the UI: "Forget host" with a clear explanation
that it's only meaningful after uninstalling the agent.
