# Delete a node

`DELETE /org/kb/nodes/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://apiv2.senso.ai/api/v1`
- URL: `https://apiv2.senso.ai/api/v1/org/kb/nodes/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Deletes a knowledge-base node. Deleting a folder removes its whole subtree. The root folder cannot be deleted. A document that is still ingesting cannot be deleted until it finishes (`409`).

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

The node (and any subtree) was deleted. No content.

## Other responses

- `400`: The request was malformed — a bad path/query parameter or an invalid value.
- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials — supply a valid org API key in the `X-API-Key` header.
- `403`: The API key is authenticated but not permitted to access this resource.
- `404`: The requested resource does not exist or is not visible to this key.
- `409`: The request conflicts with the current state (e.g. a duplicate).
