# Update content-generation settings

`PATCH /org/content-generation`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://apiv2.senso.ai/api/v1`

- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Partially updates the organization's content-generation settings and returns the updated settings. Enabling auto-publish requires at least one configured publisher (`422` otherwise). Requires the GEO product.

## Request body

- UpdateContentGenerationSettingsRequest: Partial update of content-generation settings. Every field is optional; only the fields you supply are changed.
  - `enable_content_generation` boolean: Turns content generation on or off. Unlike `content_auto_publish` this has no publisher requirement — it can be enabled with no destination configured.
  - `content_auto_publish` boolean: Whether generated content is published automatically. Setting it to `true` requires at least one configured publisher (`422` otherwise).
  - `content_schedule` integer[]: The weekdays to run on (each 0–6, 0 = Sunday).
  - `selected_content_type_id` string, uuid, nullable: The content type to use for generation. Send null to clear the selection.

The updated settings.

  - `enable_content_generation` boolean, required
  - `content_auto_publish` boolean, required
  - `content_schedule` integer[], nullable, required: The weekdays generation runs on (0 = Sunday … 6 = Saturday). Null when no schedule is set.
  - `selected_content_type_id` string, uuid: The content type used for generation, if one is selected.
  - `publishers` PublisherResponse[], required
    - `publisher_id` string, uuid, required
    - `scope` string: Whether the destination is shared across the org or org-specific (e.g. `shared`, `org`).
    - `name` string, required
    - `slug` string, required
    - `type` string, required: The destination kind (currently always `citeables`).
    - `display_url` string, required
    - `logo_url` string
    - `active` boolean, required

## Other responses

- `400`: The request was malformed — a bad path/query parameter or an invalid value.
- `401`: Missing or invalid credentials — supply a valid org API key in the `X-API-Key` header.
- `403`: The API key is authenticated but not permitted to access this resource.
- `404`: The requested resource does not exist or is not visible to this key.
- `422`: The request was well-formed but cannot be fulfilled given the current state (e.g. insufficient data to act on).
