# Check Verification

`POST /api/v1/verifications/{verification_id}/check`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sendseven.com`
- URL: `https://api.sendseven.com/api/v1/verifications/{verification_id}/check`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Check a verification code or PIN

Returns `approved`, `pending` (wrong code, with fewer `attempts_remaining`),
`expired` or `locked` (after the 5th wrong attempt). Checking is free.
Send `code` for email/SMS/WhatsApp verifications and `pin` for PIN checks.

**Required Scopes:** `verifications:create`

  - `code` string, nullable: The 6-digit code (OTP methods)
  - `pin` string, nullable: The PIN (method 'pin')
