# Delete Contact Method

`DELETE /api/v1/contacts/{contact_id}/methods/{method_id}`

Delete a contact method.

If the deleted method was primary, the next oldest method of the same type
is automatically promoted. Denormalized fields (phone, email) on the contact
are updated accordingly.

**Required Scopes:** `contacts:update`
