# Validate an email address

`POST /api/verify`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sendly.now`
- URL: `https://api.sendly.now/api/verify`
- Auth: none required

Open endpoint (no auth required) that checks an email for syntax, MX records, disposable domains, and plus-addressing. Used by the marketing site verifier.

## Request body

- VerifyEmail: Body for POST /api/verify — validate email syntax, MX, disposable, etc.
  - `email` string, email, required

## Response `200`

Verification result

- VerifyEmailResponse: Response from POST /api/verify — outcome of the syntax/MX/disposable check.
  - `data` object, required
    - `email` string, email, required
    - `reason` string
    - `valid` boolean, required
  - `success` true, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error
- `500`: Internal server error
