# Delete a subscriber list

`DELETE /api/v1/lists/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sendly.now`
- URL: `https://api.sendly.now/api/v1/lists/{id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `better-auth.session_token`
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://app.sendly.now/api/auth/oauth2/authorize`, token URL `https://app.sendly.now/api/auth/oauth2/token`, scopes: `lists:write`)

Delete the list and, by cascade, every membership on it. Those memberships are the consent record: an `UNSUBSCRIBED` row is the evidence that someone opted out, and it goes with the list — re-creating the list and re-importing the same addresses will not find their opt-outs waiting. The emails already sent are untouched.

Requires the `lists:write` scope — Create, rename, and delete your subscriber lists.
