# List events

`GET /api/v1/events`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.sendly.now`
- URL: `https://api.sendly.now/api/v1/events`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - API key in cookie `better-auth.session_token`
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://app.sendly.now/api/auth/oauth2/authorize`, token URL `https://app.sendly.now/api/auth/oauth2/token`, scopes: `events:read`)

Cursor-paginated list of recorded events, newest first. Filter by `event_name` to follow a single series.

A cursor is bound to the filters it was issued under: pairing page 2's `next_cursor` with a different `event_name` answers 422 rather than returning a page that belongs to neither query.

Requires the `events:read` scope — View the custom events your application has recorded.

## Query parameters

- `limit` integer
- `after` string: Opaque cursor from a previous response's `next_cursor`.
- `event_name` string: Return only events with this exact name.

Event list

- EventV1List: Cursor-paginated list of events, newest first.
  - `data` EventV1[], required
    - `contact_id` string, uuid, nullable, required
    - `created_at` string, date-time, required
    - `email_id` string, uuid, nullable, required
    - `id` string, uuid, required
    - `name` string, required
    - `payload` object, nullable, required: The payload recorded with the event, or null.
  - `has_more` boolean, required
  - `next_cursor` string, nullable, required: Pass as `after` to fetch the next page. `null` on the last page.

## Other responses

- `401`: `invalid_api_key` or `invalid_session` — missing or invalid credentials.
- `403`: `scope_missing`, `project_access_denied`, or `project_disabled`.
- `422`: `validation_error` — query, path, or body parameters did not match the schema.
- `429`: `rate_limited` — see `Retry-After` and the `RateLimit` headers.
- `500`: `internal_error`.
