# Delete a template

`DELETE /templates/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://sending.dev/api/v1`
- URL: `https://sending.dev/api/v1/templates/{id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Rejected with 409 `template_in_use` if a campaign still references it (the response lists the campaigns using it). Required scope: `templates:write`.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, required: Template ID.

## Response `200`

Template deleted.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid token.
- `403`: Insufficient scope.
- `404`: Resource not found.
- `409`: State conflict (e.g. duplicate).
