# Start an ActiveCampaign import

`POST /imports/activecampaign`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://sending.dev/api/v1`
- URL: `https://sending.dev/api/v1/imports/activecampaign`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Configures the credentials in the same call (`apiUrl`+`apiKey`, together) or uses the saved ones, then queues the import. Required scope: `contacts:write`.

## Request body

- StartAcImportBody
  - `apiUrl` string: E.g. https://<account>.api-us1.com
  - `apiKey` string: ActiveCampaign API key (Settings › Developer).
  - `entities` object
    - `fields` boolean
    - `tags` boolean
    - `lists` boolean
    - `contacts` boolean
    - `suppressions` boolean
    - `campaigns` boolean: Campaigns: email content as a reusable template plus the history. Imported campaigns are never scheduled.
    - `automations` boolean: Automations: always imported as DRAFTS to review, never active. The AC structure cannot be exported reliably, so the report lists for each automation what was not converted.
  - `options` object
    - `overwriteExisting` boolean: Overwrites existing contacts' attributes with the AC values (default: non-destructive merge).
    - `convertAutomationsWithAi` boolean: Uses AI to translate automation blocks into our DAG (default true, consumes the plan's AI credits). With false only the deterministic mapping of known blocks is used.

## Response `202`

Import queued: job id.

- Created
  - `id` string, uuid, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid AC credentials or connection failed.
- `401`: Missing or invalid token.
- `403`: Insufficient scope.
- `409`: State conflict (e.g. duplicate).
- `422`: Invalid input.
