# Create or re-affirm a read-only Observer Mode connection

`POST /observer/connections`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://sendinel.ai/api/v1`
- URL: `https://sendinel.ai/api/v1/observer/connections`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://sendinel.ai/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://sendinel.ai/oauth/token`)

Requires a service API key with the service:provision scope. Registers a read-only ESP/CRM connection (connection_mode=observe) for a Synchronex account already linked to an active Sendinel project — distinct from the migrate-mode platform connections used for one-time data import.

## Response `201`

Connection created or re-affirmed

## Other responses

- `404`: Synchronex account is not linked to an active Sendinel project
- `422`: Missing or unsupported provider/auth fields
