# Rehost a brand asset for email or social use

`POST /brand-kit/assets/{id}/rehost`

## Request

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2 (authorization code, authorization URL `https://sendinel.ai/oauth/authorize`, token URL `https://sendinel.ai/oauth/token`)

Creates a real hosted copy of an existing brand asset using the dashboard media rehost pipeline. Use this when a brand asset read returns `url: null`, such as a Drive-linked asset, before referencing it in generated content.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Request body

- object
  - `purpose` 'email' | 'social', required
  - `platforms` string[]: Optional target platform context for social validation.

## Response `200`

Hosted asset URL and asset metadata

## Other responses

- `404`: Asset not found
- `415`: Asset cannot be rehosted for the requested purpose
- `422`: Invalid purpose
