# Start a price list analysis, from a file or from already-mapped JSON items

`POST /api/v1/price-list-analyzer`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.sellerassistant.app` (the document declares no server; this is the origin it was published from)
- URL: `https://app.sellerassistant.app/api/v1/price-list-analyzer`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in query parameter `api_key`
  - API key in header `X-Api-Key`

Starts Price List Analyzer processing from either an xls/xlsx/csv file, or a JSON `items` array whose fields are already mapped. Exactly one of `file` or `items` must be provided. 

**File mode**: if the file columns are not explicitly mapped via the `mapping` parameter, AI is used to automatically detect the mapping (same as the Seller Assistant dashboard). At minimum, the identifier (UPC/EAN/ASIN) and cost of goods columns must be mapped, either explicitly or by AI, otherwise a validation error is returned.

**JSON items mode**: send `items` as an array of objects, each already mapped with `identifier` (required) and `cog` (required); `title`, `supplier_sku`, `price_type` and `supplier_case_quantity` are optional. `cog` is the price of one unit unless `price_type` is `case`, in which case it is the price of a whole case and `supplier_case_quantity` is required. Requires an Amazon seller account connected for the target marketplace, since identifiers are resolved to ASINs via SP-API.

  - `id` integer, required: The created price list id
  - `status` string, required: Initial status of the price list

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad request - validation failed or invalid parameters
- `402`: Payment Required - subscription expired or payment method required
- `403`: Access denied - insufficient permissions, invalid API key, or the API request limit is used up (`public_api_key_limit`)
- `422`: Business logic error - operation cannot be completed due to business rules
- `429`: Too many requests - rate limit exceeded
