# Set Default Tier

`PUT /v1/shops/{shopId}/affiliate-tiers/{tierId}/default`

Makes a tier the shop's default. New affiliates join the default tier, and affiliates without an assigned tier earn at its rates. Affiliates already assigned to a tier keep it.
