# Simulate a sandbox fiat deposit

`POST /v0/sandbox/accounts/{id}/deposits`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://orchestration.seismic.systems/api`
- URL: `https://orchestration.seismic.systems/api/v0/sandbox/accounts/{id}/deposits`
- Auth: API key in header `Api-Key`

Sandbox only. Credits an active virtual fiat account and emits the usual deposit event. Reuse the same Idempotency-Key and payload when retrying. Deposits remain as balance unless matched to a payment or swept by configured automatic liquidation.

- SandboxDepositRequest
  - `amount` string, required: Positive decimal string, at most 1000000 with at most two decimal places.
  - `currency` string, required: Must equal the account's currency.

## Response `200`

Deposit accepted.

- SandboxDepositResponse
  - `account_id` string, uuid, required
  - `deposit_id` string, required
  - `payment_advanced` boolean, required: Whether a waiting payment was matched. Automatic liquidation proceeds asynchronously.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid amount, currency, account, or retry key.
- `401`: Authentication required.
- `404`: Account or sandbox operation unavailable.
- `409`: Retry key already used with a different payload.
