# Update organization settings

`PATCH /v0/org/settings`

## Request

Updates the settings named in the body; settings left out keep their current value. A new default developer fee applies to virtual accounts created or retargeted from then on; existing accounts keep the fee they were opened with. Owner or admin role required.

## Request body

- OrgSettingsPatch: A partial update: each field present replaces the stored value, each absent field leaves it unchanged.
  - `va_developer_fee_bps` integer, nullable: See `va_developer_fee_bps` on the settings. Send `0` to stop applying a default fee.

## Response `200`

Stored settings.

- OrgSettings: Settings the organization manages itself.
  - `va_developer_fee_bps` integer, required: Default developer fee, in basis points (`100` = 1%), for virtual accounts that auto-liquidate. It is only a default: it fills in `developer_fee_bps` when a virtual account is created, or its liquidation is updated, with a `liquidation` target but no fee of its own. A fee on the request, `0` included, always overrides it. It never applies to quotes or payments, to virtual accounts without auto-liquidation, or to accounts that don't accept a developer fee, and changing it does not change accounts already set up. `0` (the starting value) applies no fee.

## Other responses

- `400`: A value is out of range.
- `403`: Owner or admin role required.
