# Validate the saved profile

`GET /v0/customers/{id}/kyc/validation`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://orchestration.seismic.systems/api`

- Auth: API key in header `Api-Key`

Runs the checks `POST /v0/customers/{id}/kyc/submit` runs on the saved profile, without submitting it: required fields, formats, and required documents. Returns `200` whether or not the profile passes, with the same `missing` and `violations` a failed submit would carry in its `422`. Nothing is saved or filed, and the verification status does not change. A customer with no saved profile validates as an empty one.

## Response `200`

The validation result.

- ProfileValidation: Whether the saved profile would pass submit's checks.
  - `missing` string[], required: Dotted paths of required fields the profile is missing.
  - `valid` boolean, required: `true` when submit would accept the saved profile as it stands.
  - `violations` Violation[], required: Fields that are present but fail a format or content check.
    - `allowed` string[], nullable: Closed list of accepted values for `field`. Present when the constraint is a "must be one of …" rule; omitted otherwise.
    - `description` string, required: Human-readable explanation of the constraint that failed.
    - `field` string, nullable: Dotted path of the offending request field (e.g. `account_holder.address.line1`). Absent when the finding applies to the request as a whole rather than a single field.
    - `reason` 'missing' | 'invalid_format' | 'too_short' | 'too_long' | 'not_in_allowed_set' | 'unknown_field' | 'out_of_range' | 'other', required: Stable machine-readable slug classifying a `Violation`. New slugs may be added over time; treat unknown slugs as `other`.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `404`: Customer not found.
