# Delete an account

`DELETE /v0/accounts/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://orchestration.seismic.systems/api`
- URL: `https://orchestration.seismic.systems/api/v0/accounts/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `Api-Key`

Delete an account. The record is retained for audit but drops out of every read. Rejected while the account is referenced by an in-flight order or still holds a balance.

## Path parameters

- `id` string, uuid, required

## Response `204`

Account deleted.

## Other responses

- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `404`: Account not found.
- `409`: Account has in-flight orders or a non-zero balance.
